The Town variant uses Active Pure Slimline 10" with KDF and granular activated carbon — targeting chlorine, heavy metals and agricultural chemicals common in municipal supplies. The Rural variant uses a multimedia cartridge (Pentair) rated for 99.95% reduction in Cryptosporidium, Giardia and cysts — essential for bore, tank and rural water where bacteria and biological contaminants are more common.

The Bio Mineral cartridge contains Maifanite (Maifanshi) — a composite mineral known as the "Wisdom Stone" used for centuries in China, Japan and Korea. It introduces approximately 35 natural minerals and trace elements, raises pH to a more alkaline level, supports mineral absorption, assists in eliminating toxic substances, and improves metabolism.

Filtration removes most dissolved content — including beneficial minerals. Rainwater and RO water are naturally acidic and lack minerals. Long-term consumption without remineralization is not recommended. The Bio Mineral cartridge restores a natural mineral profile making your water more bioavailable and easier on the body to process.

The Active Pure Slimline filter has a lifespan of 10–12 months or 4,800–8,000 litres, depending on source water quality and usage. The Bio Mineral cartridge lifespan varies by use. Replacement filters are available directly from Ionza. For best performance, most households replace every 6–12 months.

Yes — the system is designed to be extended. The Fluorex Max slimline filter targets fluoride (common in NZ town water supplies), and the NIT10 Nitrate Filter addresses nitrates from agricultural runoff (common in rural and bore water). Both are available as targeted add-ons and can be added to your existing system without replacing it.

The H2 Essential Bottle is an optional third stage that infuses molecular hydrogen into your clean, mineralized water. Molecular hydrogen has been studied for its potential antioxidant properties. The bottle is portable, electricity-free when in use, and included in the hydrogen bundle variant. You can also add it separately at checkout.
