Depending on your water quality and goals, additional optional filters may be recommended for targeted contaminants such as:

  • The Active Pure Xtra is rated for 3 years. Sediment and Ultra Filters vary by water quality and usage. The system design makes replacements straightforward, and replacement filters are available directly from Ionza.

  • Yes — the Balanced Mineral system is designed to be customised. If your water supply contains fluoride (as most NZ town supplies do) or elevated nitrates (common in rural or agricultural areas), you can add the respective targeted filter to your configuration. Each addresses contaminants the core system does not cover.



  • The Ultra Filter operates at 0.01 micron — fine enough to physically block bacteria, E. coli, PFAS compounds, protozoan cysts, and micro-organisms.
